Chimney Stack & Roof Inspections
Chimney stack and roof inspections will only be visually checked from the ground for a RICS Homebuyer Report. A detailed analysis and survey of the state of the roof and chimneys will not generally be conducted. With older homes and homes exposed to high winds, such as coastal regions in North Wales, it is a wise decision to have the property’s roof checked for structural integrity before buying or renting.
Fully insured for liability, North Wales Chimney Stacks, trading as Elwy Roofing, will conduct a detailed analysis of roofs and the chimneys. We will document our findings, including photographs, and compile a report detailing any maintenance actions required, together with the costs to implement any maintenance work deemed necessary.
For the inspection work we will use ladders and a drone.
North Wales Chimney Stacks conduct an internal inspection as part of the survey, and for that reason we will need to gain access to the loft space.
When Roof Inspection Reports Are Needed
It is useful to get roof inspections conducted in the following circumstances:
- If you are buying or renting your new home
- If you have experienced bad weather and you have suspicions that damage may have occurred
- Your property is old, and therefore the roof should be checked periodically for any deterioration
- You are considering insulation work and airflow considerations may be required consequently
- You are considering general preventative maintenance to your home as a matter of course

How Quickly Are Inspection Reports Compiled & Released?
